Florian Störtz

Florian is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford. During his undergraduate studies, he has discovered and nourished his passion for vocal music, and has since sung with Freiburger Vokalensemble, the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge and Schola Cantorum of Oxford. He studied conducting under Alasdair Jamieson and co-founded the German vocal ensemble Walkenried Consort. He has gained valuable musical impulses in masterclasses with David Butt Philip, Steven Devine and Ralph Allwood, and currently works with Roderick Earle at the RCM. Bach’s music with its gushing expressivity and utmost intellectual rigour has a special place in his concert repertoire; he regularly appears in productions of his passions and cantatas.
