2026 Crowdfunder: Support our 10th Anniversary General Fund
2027 will mark ten years of the Oxford Bach Soloists. It also coincides with the 300th anniversary of the first performance of the St Matthew Passion. To celebrate, we are working towards a landmark performance in the Sheldonian Theatre in March 2027.
To ensure the ensemble reaches this milestone in a position of strength, we are seeking support for our 10th Anniversary General Fund. This fund is the practical backbone of our work; it provides the continuity and professional environment that our musicians and scholars rely on throughout the year.
Your contribution supports the core activities that make our performances possible:
- ▪️ Sustaining our regular series of concerts and rehearsals, ensuring our period-instrument players and soloists can continue to perform at the highest level.
- ▪️ Maintaining our scholarship programme, which provides essential stipends and professional coaching for the country’s most promising young vocalists and keyboard players.
- ▪️ Providing the stability required to commit to ambitious, large-scale projects like the 300th-anniversary performance of the St Matthew Passion in the Sheldonian.
- ▪️ Ensuring that our research and performance of Bach’s music remain a vibrant, permanent part of Oxford’s cultural heritage.
We invite you to join us on this journey, helping to ensure that Bach’s music continues to flourish in the heart of Oxford for the next ten years and beyond.
