A message from our Artistic Director:

I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our loyal followers who have offered to support us at this very difficult time by converting their tickets into donations to help mitigate the crisis faced by our artists.

Johann Sebastian Bach was not a stranger to hardship. The Bach family lived through the Thirty Years’ War, one of the most destructive conflicts in human history, and Johann Sebastian was acquainted with tragedy, violence, famine, and plague. Just as the Bachs looked out for one another during these hard times, our own ‘Bach family’ must now do the same.

Our artists are losing swathes of work, with no fees being paid because of the ‘force majeure’ clause in most freelance contracts. This means weeks or months of lost income.

I invite you now to help us support our wonderful artists whose lives are made so precarious in these parlous times. All donations received from converted tickets will be given directly to our artists.

If you would like to donate any amount, please click the button below to give via PayPal or credit/debit card.

If you have already booked tickets for the Easter Weekend (10, 11, 12, or 13 April 2020) and would be willing to convert your ticket to a donation, I would be enormously grateful for your support of our artists. If you are a UK tax payer, we will be able to claim Gift Aid on the value of your donation, increasing the value by 25%.

Please contact us by email at info@oxfordbachsoloists.com or post at 6 Springfield Road, Oxford, OX2 9HJ and let us know how you would like to proceed.

Thank you,

Tom Hammond-Davies
